MCRT 94
Madras Cosmopolitan Round Table 94 (MCRT 94) is an active member of Round Table India and was chartered in 1989. With a strength of 24 active tablers and 3 Honorary Tablers, MCRT 94 has one of the highest number of tablers in Round table India. With a strong fellowship background the table is also one of the most active tables in Round Table India today. Like the other tables of Round Table India, 100% of the funds raised by MCRT 94 goes directly to funding the various community service project as the tablers themselves absorb all the administrations costs.

CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE
Welcome to the MCRT 94 website.

In our country, after 50 years of independence, more than 60 Million Indian children had never ever been to school. Illiteracy is a self-fulfilling curse that perpetuates the chain of poverty, degradation and child labour. To reach out to this group of underprivileged children, we proposed in 1998 to provide basic infrastructure for primary education in rural India, reaching out to about one million children over a period of 10 years. We believe that true freedom for an individual comes only through education.

Keeping the millions of underprivileged children in mind, we declared our Long Term National Project as "Freedom Through Education (FTE)". We believe that true freedom for an individual comes only through EDUCATION.

Over the last few years, Round Tables in India have really put in a lot of effort to provide infrastructure in schools. By now, RTI has been successful in building over 1200 schools at a cost of over Rs. 80 crores benefiting over 7 lakh children.

This website has been created to provide information on the kind of projects that we undertake and about all of us at MCRT 94.

We welcome contributions to our projects. All donations are exempt under 80 G of the Income Tax Act. We are a Zero overhead organization and all contributions are fully used for the intended project.
