Projects & Community Service Activities

The table raises funds through various fundraising activities and corporate alliances to meet its community service objectives.

MCR T 94’s has several community service projects. They are:

Sanjeevi Nala Nilayam - Our Long Term Project
It is a primary health care jointly run in association with Ford India and is located in Maraimalai Nagar opposite the Ford factory. The primary function of this center is to offer free medical services to the 400 villages around the area. The centre is 6 ½ years old and has handled more than 2 lakh patients thus far providing them with quality primary health care at absolutely no cost. Apart from this, the health centers has a strong community involvement with various specialty medical camps and other programmes covering education, environment, hygiene and awareness. It is a model corporate NGO partnership

Freedom through eduction
It is the endeavour of Round Table India to educate 1 million illiterate children by the year 2008. This is being done by building classrooms for existing schools so that the intake of students may increase manifold. The roundtable is also providing educational accessories, health care, vocational and child related programs in schools. In support of this effort, mcrt94 has taken up specific school projects after a study is done into a school’s current capacity and requirements.
